Yvonne Lim is going on across the radio waves recently when she was interviewed by UBD FM. ‘I will wait’ and ‘Time and distance’ are her two songs that helped her go into the limelight. So due to this we contacted her to conduct an interview to know more about who she is and what she does.

She is first and foremost a Singer/Songwriter/Pianist. Her birthday is just right down the corner. Yvonne will turn 21 this year. Currently studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, music is her career to be.

In an interview with The AMO Times, we asked what made her go into the fields of music in the first place.

“It’s my passion and purpose that made me further my studies in Music, and ultimately, taking this route towards my career. ” she said.

“My passion is Music, I’ve been learning piano for almost 17 years now, and though I’ve gone through the phase of ‘getting sick of it’, I persevered on. It has always been my dream since I was young to be a ‘classical pianist’ and a ‘teacher'”

“My purpose is to educate those hungry to learn, and there comes my passion for not only performing, but educating as well.”

As a local artist she continued she said “is to touch hearts and bring listeners to different places through my music. I aim to write songs that encourage, enlighten and comfort the soul”.

She also mentioned that her main goal is to open up a musical school that gives the best and quality education there is in Brunei.

Right now she is actively engaged in helping children get ahead through her organization Compassion.

“I’m currently sponsoring 3 children through Compassion and I want to visit them one day. They’re living in Uganda, Ethiopia, and Indonesia.”

‘I will wait’ and ‘Time and distance’ are now available on request at UBD FM. Yvonne single ‘Time and distance’ will be available on iTunes soon.
